A little from one of this year's prize givers....

This year's winner of the Face of Ollie's Closet can win a host of prizes including some beautiful personalised party bags & bunting from  Little Lucy Locket
Here she tells us a little about herself :
My dad called me Lucy Locket, as Lucy is my middle name, so I use the name Little Lucy Locket with great affection. I used to have a ‘proper job’ working behind a desk for somebody else. Since having my four children quite close together I decided that I didn’t want to go back to work, also my brain has been turned into mashed potato so I doubt they would want me anyway! Having taught myself how to use some computer packages to create pictures, I considered whether this might be a new career for me. So I bought ‘Bertha’ (a wide format printer which prints my canvases) and she lives in my spare bedroom. Given that my children are still very young I wondered how I would go about selling my work. Having explored the options available to me I was a little disheartened. I thought, however, that I was probably not alone in wishing to have an online shop but without being in a position to sign up with a national marketing website. So I set up my own. I sell my Little Lucy Locket products through my website www.madeonmydoorstep.co.uk. This is a marketing website listing items on behalf of other sellers too. For sellers we offer a hassle-free way of selling online. For buyers we offer some beautiful products for gifts and the home. There are so many talented sellers around, that we don’t need to buy from big stores or from the other end of the country. We support talented local businesses, real people, people like me selling fabulous, unique gifts lovingly made on your doorstep.

Meet Alicia, this year's face of Ollie's Closet

Earlier this year, Alicia won our competition to find this year's face of Ollie's Closet and after many weeks of trying to get a suitable date for all involved, we finally had our first photo shoot last week.

Here are a few of our favourite pics from the shoot. Thanks to Karen at KW Photography for letting us share them.

I'm sure you'll agree, Alicia is a worthy winner!
